Back In Action

Hello all! I know I have been MIA, but that of course was because I was so busy GETTING MARRIED!! Gah the last few weeks have been the best ever! They have been so jam pack full of adventures, I have so many stories to share! We will begin pre-wedding....

So we learned that because we were getting married in San Diego, that meant that we had to have a California marriage license...which of course you can only get in California! So two Wednesdays before the wedding was reading day, which meant no classes and no finals- the perfect day for a day trip to Cali :) We left early in the morning for Blythe, which is about three hours from home, just beyond the CA border. We were rrreeeeaaaaallllyyy hoping that were going to be able to get it there. We had done research and were pretty sure we could, but weren't positive...and if we couldn't there then we would need to drive up to Riverside, which was another two hours.
We were almost there....buuuuuut it was also 11:50. And the Blythe office closes for lunch between 12 and 1.  And we were definitely not 10 minutes away. So in a crazy frenzy Kevin floored it; we were going...well I will leave that part out, but needless to say we arrived at the office building at 11:58. We flew out of the car and took off. Kevin ran around one side of the building and I around the other. Kevin found the office first and ran in out of breath and choked out an explanation of what we needed. The ladies in the office laughed and calmed him down and told him that yes, we could get one there :) They handed him an application and told him to fill it out and come back after lunch. So off to lunch we went!!
We had lunch at Taco Bell (romantic, huh??;) ) and had time to explore Blythe for a little bit (and possibly get lost in Blythe a little bit...not sure how you can get lost in a town that small, but we managed to!). We finally got to go back to the office and turned in our application :) We played around for a little while they were processing things haha

And then we were official!! We took an oath and were headed on our way, OFFICIALLY LICENSED TO BE WED!!! HOORAY!!!!! We celebrated outside the office :)
